Junior USA Shooting Team Patch Program

Official Rules

  • All shooting, including practice, must be done under adult supervision and in accordance with the rules of firearms safety.
  • Under adult supervision and using the official bull's-eye target, shoot a total of five (5) shots. You must obtain a minimum of 35 points to qualify for a patch. Download the target, photocopy and use practice until a qualifying score is achieved.
  • Shooting can be done from any established position; benchrest, prone, kneeling, sitting or offhand. Be sure everyone on or near the firing line is wearing eye and ear protection.
  • If you are shooting a BB gun: set your target out 15 feet from the firing line.
  • If you are shooting an air gun: set your target out 33 feet from the firing line.
  • If you are shooting a .22 rifle: set your target out 50 feet from the firing line.
  • Have the supervising adult score and sign your target.
  • Register your participation online to receive your patch.
  • Entries must be received no later than December 31, 2010.
