Overview: NSSF recognizes that only a small percentage of firearms owners are "well connected" to hunting and the shooting sports in that they belong to shooting ranges or hunting clubs where their friends and facility activities serve to motivate active and ongoing participation. A much larger portion of our customer base, especially newcomers and casual participants, are "at risk" of becoming inactive because they are not prompted or encouraged to get out on a regular basis. It is this "out of mind, out of action" syndrome that impacts not only recreational firearms use, but all leisure-time activities. While NSSF research confirms that an invitation from a friend is the most effective motivator in encouraging activity, we believe that "Pull The Trigger" serves as an "electronic friend," with a wide range of "try this" tips and activities each designed to prompt new and added participation. Uniquely, this monthly e-newsletter not only features inviting "how to" video tips but also includes multiple links with each item designed to help readers to more easily and more successfully participate in the hunting or shooting activities of their choice.
Description: An electronic newsletter, Pull The Trigger is designed to engage a broad spectrum of firearms owners with helpful tips, videos and articles that will provide the motivation for current participants to shoot and hunt more often and also to spark the re-activation of those who no longer are participating in the shooting sports. Targeted readers are target shooters (competitive and recreational), hunters, collectors, individuals interested in home and personal protection, and, as mentioned, those who are no longer active in the shooting sports.
Content Type: "Pull The Trigger" is filled tips, articles, videos and how-to-do-it guides that will get men, women and youngsters fired up about participating in the shooting sports and hunting, whether for the first time or the hundredth time. Content includes original articles and video segments produced by the National Shooting Sports Foundation in its state-of-the-art video studio, as well as links to articles and how-to video by other experts in the hunting and shooting community.
