FFL Record Retention

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has compiled a single-page, quick reference guide that covers the varying durations of record retention for FFLs.

'Sweat the Details'

NSSF, in an ongoing effort to provide members of our industry with the information, knowledge and resources they need to comply with the law so they can maintain their federal firearms license, is please to announce the publication of "Sweat the Details."

This brief resource explains to federal firearms licensees (FFLs) what a "willful violation" is under the law so they can develop, create and implement business practices that will ensure they remain in compliance with the requirements of the Gun Control Act and ATF regulations governing the operation of their licensed business.

NSSF will be distributing a copy of the "Sweat the Details" brochure, along with other educational resources, to every FFL in America.
