Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and funded by U.S. Department of Justice grants and the firearms industry.

To combat the problem of criminal and illegal misuse of firearms, this public awareness national program educates federally licensed firearms retailers and the general public on how to detect and deter potential criminal "straw man" purchases. Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and funded by U.S. Department of Justice grants and the firearms industry.

What if a child were to encounter a firearm in an unsupervised situation? NSSF addresses this safety concern through educational video programs appropriate for school safety curriculums. A general-audience program is also available that provides a review of safety rules for firearms owners.

NSSF's conservation videos provide elementary through high school-aged students with accurate information on the success of sportsmen-supported conservation and wildlife management programs.
