As a member benefit, NSSF is funding this project to help you better understand your company's financials compared to the industry. The need to operate efficiently and profitably has never been greater and in an industry where companies have access to very little data, this study will be a key source of benchmarking information that can help you analyze your own company, identify key trends in the industry and help you plan strategically for the future. This important study will provide you with invaluable benchmarks for gauging your company's operating strengths and weaknesses and improvement opportunities.

All responses will be returned directly to Industry Insights where they will be kept in strict confidence; no individual company responses will be shared with NSSF or any other person or organization.

Benefits of Participating

Participants of this study will receive:

Full Industry-wide Report - this report will include combined data of comparative financial ratios and operating statistics of NSSF retail members that participate in the study based on key data segments - such as: All Respondents, Profitability, Total Revenue, Full-Time Equivalent Employees, Sales Emphasis, and any other data aggregation deemed relevant.

Chance to win one of two Leupold binoculars - All participants that complete and submit the survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two Leupold BX-3 Mojave Pro-Guide HD 10x42mm Binoculars (approximate retail value $744.00).

Financial Statement Conversion

As an additional member benefit, NSSF members that need assistance completing the study will be able to send their income statement and balance sheet directly to Industry Insights to be converted to the survey form (by a Certified Public Accountant on Industry Insights' staff).

Often a business's own financial statements will not exactly match the survey form and by taking advantage of this service, participants will save time and avoid any “guess-work” when completing the questionnaire.
