Branding Expert Ken Schmidt is Keynote Speaker at 2017 SHOT Show Executive Management Seminar
I am pleased to announce that Ken Schmidt, former Director of Communications for the iconic motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson, will be hosting the keynote presentation at SHOT Show’s newest educational forum, our 2017 Executive Management Seminar.
Schmidt first began working with Harley-Davidson in 1985, a time when the maker was struggling to remain relevant. With Schmidt’s expertise in corporate positioning and media relations leading the way, a few short years later Harley-Davidson had become one of the most reported-on companies in the world, and sales of the company’s two-wheeled wonders had skyrocketed. Schmidt eventually moved on to become the firm’s director of both corporate and financial communications, while also serving as Harley-Davidson’s primary spokesperson to the media. Now retired from full-time work with the motorcycle maker, Schmidt is one of the country’s most in-demand corporate speakers and consultants.
Schmidt will be delivering the presentation Make Some Noise: Open the Throttle and Dominate Your Marketplace. In this discussion, you’ll hear the fascinating story of how businesses of any size and scope can, by focusing on understanding and harnessing the most basic drivers of human behavior, improve their competitiveness and avoid margin-killing commoditization in even the most difficult marketing environments. He’ll teach you why the road to building a fanatically vocal customer base, creating a passionately loyal corporate culture and developing leaders who inspire and motivate starts here and he’ll challenge you to consider what you’re willing to do today that is different than what they did yesterday.
The 2017 SHOT Show Executive Management Seminar will take place the day before the show opens, Monday January 16, from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Morning coffee and a buffet lunch will be provided. Designed as a premier educational forum for rising managerial and executive-level professionals, the seminar is open to both NSSF Members and non-members, and NSSF members receive a significant discount on their registration fee. To reserve your seat, simply log in to your dashboard at SHOTShow.org once after completing your registration to attend the show and add this seminar to your shopping cart.
