NSSF Members Receive Discounts on NSSF Research and Literature
NSSF offers more than 100 products to its members in the Members Only Shopping Cart, and we’ve simplified ordering the tools and literature you need by organizing these resources into easy to understand categories.
Literature
Firearms Retailers will appreciate items like Acquisition & Disposition records books and Form 4473 overlays that help reduce errors and maintain compliance. Retailers also have complimentary access to a variety of NSSF campaign materials, such as Don’t Lie for the Other Guy posters, DVDs, counter cards and mats, decals and buttons that help educate both store staff and the public. On the strictly enterprise side of things, our retail members have a wealth of business guides available free to them, those titles ranging from Financials for the Firearms Retailer, Employment Guide for the Firearms Retailer and Merchandising Guide for the Firearms Retailer among others. Several resources are now available in a Spanish translation.
Range Owners also have their own dedicated literature listing. Titles pertinent to your needs include the report Lead Mobility at Ranges, the booklet Environmental Aspects of Construction and Management, So You Want to Build a Shooting Range and Lead Management and OSHA Compliance, along with guides to obtaining federal grants, a wide variety of safety posters for displaying at your range and the DVD Introduction to Range Safety and Etiquette that serves as an important orientation tool shooters new to your range. There are dozens more publications available, including material on risk management, policy and procedure manual composition, and NSSF’s guide on how ranges can apply and qualify for our prestigious Five Star Range Rating.
Are you a NSSF member who owns a shooting club, hunt club or range? Are you a firearms or hunter education instructor or a teacher in any capacity passing on our firearms heritage? Then you’re going to want to access the NSSF’s vast array of Safety literature. With titles ranging from A Parent’s Guide to Recreational Shooting for Youngsters and The Ethical Hunter to Wingshooting Safety and Firearms Responsibility in the Home, NSSF provides the titles you need in printed pamphlet form, DVD and convenient pocket card styles. This literature is available at a discounted price for NSSF members.
Hunting and Conservation literature is also available to NSSF Members. Learn about the relationship between hunting and conservation in The Hunter and Conservation, which offers a comprehensive historical overview of the hunter’s role in wildlife management and conservation efforts. Read an unbiased collection of current position statements from major associations concerned with the conservation and preservation of our natural resources in What They Say About Hunting. All hunting and conservation literature is available in PDF format via the members-only shopping cart or from the literature page. All literature is also available in print, except for The Hunter’s Pocket Fact Card — which is only available digitally (.pdf).
Research
From manufacturer to small town firearms dealer, high country outfitter to manufacturer’s sales rep, and range owner to big-box retailer, all NSSF members can glean a world of knowledge from our library of research papers. Titles such as Lifetime Retail Sales, the 2014 Financial Benchmarking Report, The Modern Bowhunter Report 2014, First-Time Gun Buyers and the Economic Impact of Hunting and Target Shooting in America provide vital statistics on hunter and shooter numbers, retail and shooting trends, and state and national demographic breakdowns. Many of these reports are free to our members, while others are provided at substantial discount over the non-member price. Voting members have access to all NSSF research papers at no charge.
