Project ChildSafe’s One-of-a-Kind 25th Anniversary Browning Citori CXS Shotgun Auction on GunBroker.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, proudly celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Project ChildSafe® program with a special auction on GunBroker.com of a unique Browning Citori CXS shotgun.
The auction, featuring the one-of-a-kind Project ChildSafe 25th Anniversary Browning Citori CXS shotgun, opened on November 3 and will continue through November 17. The auction will raise funds to continue Project ChildSafe’s work to keep children and families safe from firearm accidents.
“Over the past 25 years, Project ChildSafe has made major strides in promoting responsible firearm ownership and secure storage,” said Joe Bartozzi, President and CEO of NSSF and Chairman of Project ChildSafe Foundation. “We are excited to celebrate this milestone, and we invite the community to join us in supporting our efforts through this auction.”
This special Browning Citori CXS 12 gauge, over/under shotgun has the Project ChildSafe and NSSF logos engraved on the receiver by Baron Engraving. Three sides of deep engraving with 24kt. gold borders and accents make this an eye-catching treasure. This versatile shotgun has 30-inch barrels and can easily transition from being your favorite bird-hunting gun to the sporting clays course or skeet field. For a full description of the shotgun and to bid, visit the auction listing.
NSSF is grateful to Browning for the generous donation of the Browning CXS in support of Project ChildSafe. The funds raised from the auction will be used to expand firearm safety education resources and provide free gun locks to communities across the country to help reduce firearm-related accidents — especially involving children —suicide and theft. In its 25-year history, Project ChildSafe has distributed more than 41 million firearm safety kits that include a cable gun lock and a safety brochure that helps gun owners determine the best storage solution to meet their needs.
