SHOT Show Retailer Seminars 2016 — How to Be an FFL Super Star
More than any other, compliance is the one topic our retail members tell us they want more information and education on time and time again. Even our veteran retailers, knowing that long-term routine can lead to mistakes, emphasize the need for continuing compliance education and routinely look for new ways to ensure they and their staff are completing the paperwork required for firearms transfers correctly each and every time a gun sale takes place.
If you’re one of those retailers looking for a gold star and perfect compliance during your next ATF inspection—and we hope every one of our retailers out there fits that description—we encourage you to attend the Retailer Seminar “NICS Super FFL!” Moderated by JoAnn Garrison, Liaison Specialist with the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, this session will help retailers discover new efficiencies in conducting NICS background checks and processing related paperwork such as the all-important Form 4473. With a focus on accurate information taking and policies that help ensure your employees catch mistakes and know how to correct them before you call NICS for a background check and before a firearm leaves your store, the “NICS Super FFL” seminar is one every FFL holder—whether just opened for business or 25-year veteran—should attend.
The “NICS Super FFL” Retailer Seminar will take place Tuesday, January. 19, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Lando Ballrooom, Room 4302, of the Venetian. Both NSSF member retailers and non-members may attend for $25. To register for this seminar, visit your dashboard at shotshow.org after applying to attend the 2016 SHOT Show and add this event and any other you wish to participate into your cart.
